What happens in the workshop : Together with a small group of like minded runners of all levels, we will cover everything from sports psychology (how you think) to running form (how to run lighter). We will look at how to breathe better, how music can help (or hinder) and how to trick yourself to keep on going when you just want to stop!
Leave the watch at home and instead we look at HOW you are moving and WHAT you are saying to yourself on the run that might be helping you (or not).
Whatever you running level you can benefit from knowing all the tricks and tips that help you feel lighter and more confident on the run.
From injury prevention to pure enjoyment of getting out the door, this workshop is for any runner who really wants to enjoy running more and be running long into the future.
We meet together in the park and Mary guides you through a series of steps and tips you can apply to make your running feel easier and less effort. There is plenty opportunity to ask questions. There is no pressure to run fast or far. The opposite in fact. We run short intervals (at slow pace) to practice each tip - and if you are injured or out of practice, you can walk these sections.
Topics we cover :
- How to move your body in a way that requires less effort and energy
- Sports psyhology tricks to help those negative voices in your head.
- Technique tips that help you feel lighter on the run and avoid injury
- Fun, quick reminders you can actually apply on your next run when you need them.
- Breathing advice that will stop you feeling breathless and frustrated.
- The simplest and most effective warmups and cooldowns for runners.
- How to run up and down a hill with confidence and less dread!
- Advice on how to take all you have learnt into your future running
- QnA - all your questions answers and follow up emails and support.
- BONUS : Access to follow along audios and lessons that you can practice at home.
