We are heading into our 20th Year of ForgetTheGym - Yes 20 years!
How things have changed from the simple days of 2006. It seems like every year you all get busier with growing responsibilities, the distractions of technology and free time being at a premium. So thats why we are keeping it all VERY SIMPLE in 2026 and helping you step away from the madness and mind yourself a little more.
We want to help you make time for YOU and help you get (and stay) moving and motivated - because we are much nicer and happier person when we feel strong, fit and energised!
We want you to try new things, meet new people, spend more time outdoors and feel amazing this new year. We will have one eye on living in the moment and the other on setting you up for a future where being outdoors and energised is just part of what you do.
2026 is the year we invest more time in ourselves, and our future - so come join us!

2026 - A plan for each season
Spring : Up to Easter we focus on feeling great by easing into the New Year and building a routine (that actually fits in with our lives). For those who don't live near us we have brand new virtual courses . For Dublin ladies we head to the beach at classes midweek. For anyone who is in our full membership, we keep you all moving and motivated with meetups, podcasts, classes, community and coaching.

Summer : Daylight returns for our Beach classes where we bring the yoga mat instead of the hi vis! We head to the Wicklow mountains for summer trail runs and then pack the suitcases for West Cork for our summer season of retreats and sunny vibes. Every month we still keep all our private members events, podcasts and meetups going strong. Our Marathon Coaching Programme and half marathon coaching too will guide all those running long this summer, with ALL our brand new courses flexible to support you training for every location (not just Dublin Marathon this year). Each one of our virtual courses can be started at the exact day YOU want. Most of all we make sure the summer doesnt run away from you!

Autumn: We head back on the beach in Dublin as Sept routine returns. We will enjoy autumn runs and walks in the falling leaves and build up our training for for our members Running/Wine trip to France in Nocember (can't wait). We then finish out our year with a month of festive fresh air celebrations in December. That seems like a long time away, but always good to see the full year in a few lines! For anyone who is in our full membership, in December we go all in and celebrate a full year of all we have achieved together.

The unknown : Each year brings new adventures we have not finalised yet - so watch this space as we have a few secret projects up our sleeves!
There so much to look forward to. I are keeping my fingers crossed for a great 2026 for you all ahead.

If you would love to be part of the gang, now is your chance. Don't wait until you are more fit, strong and have more time on your hands. Thats what you said last year (am i right). Now is your time to treat yourself to feeling better than ever. Come join us - read on below..

Here are your options for January :
1. Dublin Beach Classes kick off on 13th January for 11 weeks all the way to Easter. Locations in Sandymount and Clontarf. See Timetable. Perfect for non-members and members.
2. Online Courses : We have 3 courses which you can start in January at a time that suits you. These are perfect for non-members and you can follow from anywhere in the world!
- Beginners : Get Running in 4 Weeks (totally different from couch to 5k)
- Lapsed runners : Get Back Running in 4 Weeks (Time for a comeback)
- Move up to 10k : From 5k to 10k in 8 Weeks. (First step towards longer distance)
3. Try out one of our FREEBIES : These are FREE listen along downloads that will bring you out the door and out for 30 minutes with Mary in your ears all the way. They work so well - you feel like you have a running buddy and you don't even need to talk yourself! Once you listen you will know exactly the vibe at ForgetTheGym!
4. Think about full membership : Doors are closed for January for new members - But you can join waitlist. Our membership is thriving and each year our community gets stronger, the women support eachother and we are so proud that together we have created something very special. At ForgetTheGym it is never about competition but instead about camaraderie, giving eachother the nudge to keep moving, keep smiling and keep getting outdoors. We REALLY want YOU to feel fabulous in 2026 by choosing fresh air, fitness, friendship and fun rather than just falling down in front of the TV each evening. We know it can be daunting to get going and it can be hard to join a new crew, but once you start you will wonder why you didnt get going sooner!
If this is your year to stop making excuses, stop wasting time scrolling on your phone and finally time to make a little more time for YOU then we can help you. We know you can do it, you have just got to make the next move. The busier you are, the more you need a little headspace!
It's so hard to do it solo, so don't waste another year thinking you will do all the health stuff that you promise yourself you said this time last year. Enough procrastinating, its time to say, lets do it - together - either virtually or in person.
